Ten Hilariously Funny Feline Book Titles

Ten Hilariously Funny Feline Book Titles

Geetings you guys! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s prompt is bound to be nothing but fun. Hilarious Book Titles. Just like Jana, life is a bit busy here with us, so we almost skipped this week. Luckily, there is nothing wrong with our innovation abilities and as a cat, I am also extra resourceful. In February 2021, we had a prompt – Titles that made me laugh out loud. Ha. Nothing wrong with republishing. In fact, it’s being encouraged on numerous platforms. So that’s exactly what we’ll do today. With a tweak or two. If you’ve read and actually remember (I’m not that good a writer, so what’s the chances) our post from last year, a recap is always good. If you haven’t read it, have fun! In case you might think I made some of these titles up, I will add links to all the titles and you can see for yourself that my innovation only goes that far. 1. Games you can play with your Pussy by Ira Alterman 2. Does God ever speak through cats? by David Evans 3. Why Cats paint: A Theory of Feline Aesthetics by Heather Busch 4.I could pee on […]

Top Ten Tuesday – The Seven Sisters World Tour

Top Ten Tuesday – The Seven Sisters World Tour

Greetings you guys! Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Today we are going travelling! Boy, do I have a splendid tour planned for you. My Mommy and just about all the ladies in the Book Club, are a huge fans of The Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley. The series based on the mythical Seven Sisters of the Pleiades. Not that this is a mythological story, no these are very real sisters who all came together from across the globe. All 7 of these sisters have been adopted by Pa Salt and grew up in a beautiful pink palace in Geneva. When Pa Salt died, he left each of the sisters co-ordinates to where they come from, along with but one clue to help them all on their journey. My Mommy is convinced that this will actually be one heck of an awesome tour to really go on. Perhaps it will be her lucky day and one of you know a travel agent who is going to start planning the itinerary… We will give you a basic idea of a tour schedule, just to help you along. We will kick the tour […]

Top Ten Tuesday – The Cat and the Fox Terrier

Top Ten Tuesday – The Cat and the Fox Terrier

Greetings you guys. It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday and we couldn’t be more grateful to Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl for making this week a freebie. I need a freebie to help me with me cattish plan to get rid of the latest infestation in our house. On Sunday, I told you about the little mongrel my Mommy brought home on Friday. In case you’ve missed it: I know, it’s still horrendous to look at. Not to mention the smell. But in any case, in order to beat your enemy, you have to know your enemy.  The best way I know how to gain information, is by reading. I started searching for books with Wirehaired Fox Terriers. Apparently that is the breed the little mutt belongs to. And this is what I found: Everyone blamed Emily Arundell’s accident on a rubber ball left on the stairs at her home in Market Basing by her frisky terrier, Bob. But the more she thought about her fall, the more convinced she became that one of her relatives was trying to kill her. So, on April 17th she wrote about her anxieties and suspicions in a letter to Hercule Poirot. And […]

Ten Books on our Winter TBR

Ten Books on our Winter TBR

Greetings you guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. I actually didn’t feel like participating in this week’s TTT as geography has never been my strong suit. Northern and Southern hemispheres always feel like such an unnecessary complication. When it’s time for most of you guys to show your winter reads, it’s summer here with us. And vice versa of course. We do love reading in winter though and statistically we read slightly more in winter than in summer. Books on my Summer TBR are still months away. But we do have a whole stack of winter reads just waiting for us to snuggle in with! The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton Romancing Mr. Bridgerton (Bridgerton #4) by Julia Quinn The Milk Tart Murders by Sally Andrew The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus Lock Every Door by Riley Sager The Whisper Man by Alex North Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar I’m sure that most of you have read at least one of […]

Top Ten Tuesday – It’s About Time

Top Ten Tuesday – It’s About Time

Greetings you guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday. Our favorite weekly blog hop and meme. This week’s prompt is Books With a Unit of Time In the Title (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, eternity, etc.) (Submitted by RS @ The Idealistic Daydream) Ha. This was easy. Just from the top of our heads, we came up with 24 books. Enough to fill a 24hour digital clock. Ten Quotes from probably the Greatest Detective in the World

Ten Quotes from probably the Greatest Detective in the World

Greetings you guys! We haven’t done a Top Ten Tuesday post in 3 weeks. First I had my tail in a knot and then Mommy were on holidays. But we are back to play along with Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl for this week’s edition. What a fun freebie prompt we have today – Book Quote Freebie! We’ve done a TTT on our favorite quotes from books (that can be updated I guess), but we didn’t feel like it. Nope, we would rather go with a few memorable quotes from probably the greatest detective in the world. Ever. I guess we should have added what books these quotes come from… Let’s make it a guessing game! We have tried to add photos from the movies to a few of these quotes, see how many you can match! Are you a fan of the greatest detective in the world? Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday – One Meow Reviews

Top Ten Tuesday – One Meow Reviews

Greetings you guys! Welcome to this week’s edition of Top Ten Tuesday. TTT is still hosted by the lovely Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl and today’s theme is one word reviews for the last 10 books read. My Mommy won’t be able to pull this off at all, she is too much of a chatterbox. But I can easily give just one meow for our 10 latest reads. Have you read any of these? Do you agree with my meows? Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Top Ten Tuesday – You know what Bugs me?

Top Ten Tuesday – You know what Bugs me?

Greetings you guys! It’s Tuesday and time for Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by Jana @ That Arsty Reader Girl. Today’s prompt is Books with (whatever) on the cover. Now this can be anything, as long as it’s the same thing on all your covers. That sounds easy enough! Seeing that my Mommy gave me free reign over today’s TTT, I first need to get something off my chest. You know what really bugs me? I constantly bring my Mommy the nicest, cutest bugs that I catch just for her. And you know what she does? She squeals, or so throws them out. She never, ever keeps them. How can she do that? She loves books that has the little buggers on the covers, so why doesn’t she want them as presents from me too? Here are 10 of my Mommy’s favorite books with bugs on the covers: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle – Okay, I’ve never brought her a caterpillar. We have loads of centipedes here with us. Do they count? Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White – Spiders find their own way in. I don’t have to help them at all. We don’t tend to bother each other much.  Lord of the Flies by William […]

A Dozen Authors We Still Want to Lay an Egg On

A Dozen Authors We Still Want to Lay an Egg On

Greetings you guys! It’s late on Monday night and my Mommy wants to go to sleep. BUT we cannot miss two TTT in a row, so she just has to stay awake for a few more minutes. Luckily this week’s prompt can be handled with a few Canva grids and still count as a full post. Authors I haven’t read, but still want to.  Oh my Mommy’s list is way more than 10. To get all our grids to match nicely and to get a clever title for our post, we will go with 12 today! Just for good measure and to pretend this whole post didn’t take us but 15minutes, we will add the book we wan to read by named author as well. Simone St. James Ali Hazelwood Andy Weir (the fact that we are currently reading Project Hail Mary doesn’t count as has read. We are still busy)   Barbara Kingslover Kate Atkinson Elizabeth Wein   Julie Mulhern Caroline Graham Julian Fellowes (Why did I think he is a she? He looks an awful lot like the author in Magpie Murders. Perhaps our imagination is just getting the better of us.)   Anne Perry Elizabeth Peters Patricia Wentworth   Remember to add your link to […]

Ten Books our Grandchildren will probably also read

Ten Books our Grandchildren will probably also read

Greetings! It’s Tuesday and we have a few quick minutes to join Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, for Top Ten Tuesday. We don’t easily miss out on this weekly meme if we can squeeze it in. This week’s prompt is 21st Century Books that will become Classics.  Hmmm… This is going to be an interesting round. Without thinking too hard, our predictions for books our grandchildren will also read, will have to be categorized in 2 sections: 1) Series 2) Standalones The 21ste century, is the century of the series. Every second or third book being published, is part of a duology, a trilogy, a quartet, a pentalogy …. Oh you get what I mean. I predict the following series to become classics: The pentalogy that makes up The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyers  The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is a trilogy, but it comes in a set of books 0 – 3 Once again, Divergent by Veronica Roth is suppose to be a trilogy. But there are about 10 works in this series all together. A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. I have no idea exactly how many books are going to be in […]
