Today’s Cover Characteristics – Arrows

Cover Characteristics is a weekly meme hosted by Sugar and Snark. Every week they give us these gorgeous themes and then you have to pick 5 (or more – whatever blows your hair back) covers featuring that theme. If you want to participate:
  • Pick your covers
  • Post it to your blog
  • Share your post’s URL in the linky provided by Sugar and Snark
  • Go and check out the other guys who also posted! (This might influence your current TBR list a great deal.)

Staying true to my species (creatures of habit), I will again list my favourite cover as the one that I thought of first.

 1380713
Robin Hood by Antonia Fraser. Although there are numerous covers and authors of the legend of Robin Hood, I picked this one mainly because the guy on the cover slightly resembles the ultimate Robin Hood:

I wish I kept count of how many times I’ve watched this movie. Lets just say the video doesn’t work anymore. (Not that we have a VCR any more either to test it)

Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie Yes, I’ve used this book before. How can you ever forget this delightful  tale of the boy who will never grow up.

The glass arrow by Kristin Simmons I like the cover, but not interested in reading the book. Let me know if you want to change my mind!

4917814  Caribou Island
The Act of Love by Howard Jacobson
Caribou Island by David Vann

Haven’t read any of these, but get confused with the plots while trying to list it. Somethings are too similar. What I do know is that both of these books deal with marriage issues. Maybe both of these couples just need to get hit by one of that cute, little chubby guy’s arrows again.

I won’t be joining Cover Characteristics next week as I will be on holiday. I will try to get online and check out all the awesome covers that you guys pick.

Enjoy the rest of the week and happy reading!

  1. AHHH I LOVE ARROWS SO MUCH! I mean, that's only slightly obvious from my blog infatuation with them in my design hahah. ahem. But I do like the Robin Hood covers and their epic shooty stance. And I want to read The Glass Arrow someday!
Thanks for stopping by @ Paper Fury!

  2. Ooh I love the cover for The Glass Arrow! The colors and design are just so pretty. I also like those Robin Hood ones, though I've never actually seen or read any Robin Hood story that I can remember. I have been meaning to reread Peter Pan this year though!
