December Countdown: One prompt per day (Day 16 & 17)

Posted December 17, 2020 by elzaread in / 10 Comments

So sorry that we’ve missed yesterday (again). My mommy was working on her blog graphics and it simply slipped our minds.

Here’s our day 16 and 17 of the December Countdown.

  1. Snow – a book set in a cold or wintry climate
  2. Shopping – the last book added to your wishlist
  3. Wrapping paper – a lovely cover
  4. Presents – a book you enjoyed more than you expected to
  5. Chocolates – a book that was simply delicious
  6. Christmas stocking – stocking fillers – a novella or short story
  7. Christmas Tree –  traditional style, winter read
  8. Baubles – these add some colour, a very colourful and striking cover
  9. Fairy Lights – a book of the fae
  10. Under the Tree – a book you forgot you owned
  11. Mistletoe – a little bit of romance
  12. Holly and Ivy – a book with great world building
  13. Feast – a book that was magnificent
  14. Christmas pudding – if you could squeeze in just one more book for 2020
  15. Mince pies –  a little sweet something
  16. Turkey Dinner– a book that is almost too big to face
  17. Glitter – A book that you simply have to have

Day 16 – Turkey Dinner. A book that is almost too big to face (we’ve gobbled this one up a few years ago. One massive turkey at 1449 pages)

Day 17 – Glitter. A book you simply have to have. Maybe Santa will bring it for Mommy. She will be so happy.
Lots of Love,

Elza

  1. Stephen King's books scare me half to death and mostly because of their page count! I'm not familiar with the other book but I hope you find it under your tree.

    • Hi Katherine! Oh I definitely want The boy, The mole, The fox and the horse under the tree. And if I don't get it, I'm going to go buy them for myself.

Not all Stephen King's books are scary you know. Some are actually really great!

  2. I've wanted to read The Stand for some time – I must confess I hadn't realised it was such a chunkster – still, I don't mind long books – I just don't like it if they feel long and lets be honest, a short book can feel very l o n g if you're not enjoying it.
    Lynn 😀

    • Hi Lynn! Just about all Stephen King's books are doorstops. 11/22/63 was also over 900 pages if I'm not mistaken and I couldn't put it down.

The Stand is epic, hope you get to it someday!

  3. This prompt set looks really interesting. Is this something you've built up yourself? It gives you ideas to write about everyday, else the pandemic fatigue gets to you. The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse looks very nifty, thanks for spotlighting it!

    • Hi there! No, I didn't! You can find all the details at Lynn's Book Blog. I will quickly hop over to you and send you the link.

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • We don't eat turkey for Christmas in SA…
Gamon is big, or roast beef. You know South African men consider poultry as vegetables. Big meat eaters…
