Top Ten Tuesday – Favorite 2022 Reads

Greetings you guys! Welcome to the first Top Ten Tuesday for 2023. Everyone’s favorite weekly meme is still hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Remember to add your linkup to the link provided on Jana’s page. How was your 2022 reading year? Reading is always good, but for today’s prompt we get to share our ultimate favorites for 2022. Mommy and Daddy is still on their island holiday, so I will take full responsibility for our post today. If Mommy don’t agree with my choices, that’s her problem and she should have thought about that before she left me alone for 3 whole weeks. I did try to break it into sections and of course I’m going to start with my two favorites for the year. No secret that it will involve cats. The rest are also self explanatory I’d say. Which of these made your list as well? And which ones did we miss that we simply have to add to our reading list for 2022? Happy New Year Guys! Make it a good one.   Share the Meows

The Sunday Post #88

The Sunday Post #88

Greetings you guys! Happy New Year! We wish you all the best books, lower than ever book prices and hours of reading time in 2023. How have you all been doing? Enjoying your Christmas break? Mommy and Daddy are still enjoying their island holiday. She does send messages every day and I don’t think they do much more than sleeping, swimming, exploring and just relaxing. That’s what holidays are made for so I am going to keep my quirky comments for myself for once. She hasn’t been reading as much as anticipated during the first week of their holidays, not to mention blogging. She hasn’t even opened her laptop! Apparently she is sitting in the dining room of their holiday place watching the rain and quickly checking in with all of you now. Not that I think it will last long before she will go and sit outside and enjoy the cool, rainy breeze. It’s hot in Mauritius! No new books for Christmas (that was actually a direct request) and she won’t dare buying books on Amazon without consulting me. But last night, yes on New Years Eve, she and Daddy quickly went to the supermarket to go and buy […]

The Sunday Post #87

The Sunday Post #87

Greetings you guys! Can you believe it will be Christmas next Sunday? Whoo hoo! Although this will be the first year ever that I am not with my Mommy for Christmas…. They are sitting in the lounge in Cape Town, waiting for their flight to Mauritius. I might still take my revenge this week and topple the Christmas tree she so lovingly put up for our Baby Sitter. We love the Baby Sitter and it’s always fun to have her here, but there’s no need for Mommy to know that. She needs to think that our world is coming to a complete stand still when she’s not here. It is of course the little Mutt’s first Christmas and she won’t even know the difference. Ha, perfect opportunity for me to have a bit of a go at her. Anyways, look at me talking about myself and nothing else here. How have you guys been doing? What’s your holiday plans?? The last couple of weeks at school has been really, really crazy and I know Mommy didn’t blog as much as we usually do. Just the scheduled blog tour or two, but hardly any link-ups. Hopefully she is going to get […]

The Port Elspeth Jewelry Making Club by Holly Tierney-Bedord on May 18th, 2018 Genres: Cozy Mystery Pages: 406 Format: ARC, eBook Source: Lola’s Blog Tours Buy on Amazon Goodreads From the author of Sweet Hollow Women comes a new novel about friendship, surprises, and the secrets that hide in the shadows of even the most ordinary-seeming lives. It’s been five years since the idyllic oceanside town of Port Elspeth was rocked by tragedy. Shortly after their high school graduation, Evangeline Maddingly, daughter of one of the town’s wealthiest old-money families, and Oliver Prescott, son of one of the town’s wealthiest new-money families, were found dead in an isolated cabin in the woods outside of town. The circumstances surrounding their untimely deaths are murky at best, thanks in large part to a coroner with connections to the town’s founding families and a sweeping effort from those in power to shut down any negative publicity that could harm the reputation of their pristine community. Five years later, a small group of strangers gather to create jewelry for one of Port Elspeth’s many fundraisers. Before long, friendships are forming and old secrets are being revealed. Along with solving the mystery of how to […]

Weekend Book Friends #36

Weekend Book Friends #36

Greetings you guys! How many Fridays do we  have left? Two? Three? Gosh, I can’t believe we’ve only joined our Weekend Book Friends so few times during the past year. We used to take part every week! Was 2022 a very unorganized and messy year for you as well? Mommy and Daddy are on holiday. For three weeks! This is the longest they’ve been on holiday for 6 years. So far she hasn’t done much, not even a whole lot of reading. I believe she might finally be turning into a cat and has been sleeping mostly since yesterday when their holiday started. This morning we woke up to rainy weather and she quickly rushed to the Bookstore to go and buy just one book. Not that there are no other books to read in this house! Of course she came home with 4 books. She started with this one immediately: Let’s join up with our regular reading buddies to see if this book is actually going to work for us or not. Our first stop is with  @ Reading is my Super Power for First Line Friday and to Gilion @ Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings.  Every Friday you can link up and […]
