What a beautiful Crayola Crayon day it is here in South Africa. It’s a beautiful, sunny autumn day and I sommer feel like like taking out my coloring book and get coloring. Today’s Top Ten Tuesday post is a perfect fit for such a bright and burst of colors day: Ten Book Titles that sound like Crayola Crayon Colors

Let’s see what colors we would like to color in with today:

3. Night Tiger (a dark burned orange color) – Inspired by The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo
4. Faithful (a heavenly blue) – Inspired by Faithful by Alice Hoffman
5. Holidate Green, Holidate Red, Holidate Silver Inspired by Holidate by Monica Murphy
6. Hallowe’en Party (a pumpkin orange) – Inspired by Hallowe’en Party by Agatha Christie
7. Olive Kitteridge (an olive green) – Inspired by Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout
8. Miss Benson’s Beetle (gold) – Inspired by Miss Benson’s Beetle by Rachel Joyce
9. BearTown (grisly bear brown) – Inspired by Beartown by Fredrik Backman

    • Hi Lauren! I haven't read it yet, so maybe if I read it, I will change the color. A A Fable just sounds like something from the woods for me. Moss greens, browns, yellows.

    • Imagine that! And yes, some lipsticks have weird and wonderful names. I personally love my Caribbean Kiss lipstick! Think it's by Clinique.

  1. I think Guardian or Faithful would work for our Most Important Colors, which are, of course, red, yellow, and blue.

Halloween Party is perfect for orange. Why did no one at Crayola think of that one?!

    • Hi Debbie! That's exactly why I chose Guardian. All the primary colors. I thought it was very clever and you are the first one to pick it up! But you are ever so clever, so it figures.

      I also love Halloween party!!

    • Hi Jen! There were a lot of very creative people on the TTT prompt this week. I actually feel I could have been more creative!

City of Girls will be the first color I grab to color in with.

      Thanks for visiting Jen.

  2. I love how you integreated the colours into the titles. I've done something like that before but didn't think about it this time. LOL

Such a creative post. Love it.

Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.

    • Thank you Marianne! I had fun doing this post. I normally enjoy TTT and try to have as much fun as I can.

Thanks for stopping by and I'm glad you've enjoyed our post.

    • Same here, I always love the challenges, sometimes I have to twist it a little but mostly I really enjoy them. And I always enjoy other posts, there are so many books to discover.

  3. This is awesome. I love Fable and Holidate Green as well. I'm a sucker for green anyways.

I feel like Elza and Stinkie might have fun w/ the crayons…

    • Hi Greg! Stinkie was very naughty when he was kitten and used to always play with my crayons and arty farty stuff. Pencils were his favorite. Elza was actually never naughty in that way. But she is terribly naughty in soooo many other ways where Stinkie is not.

      Glad you enjoyed it Greg!

    • I had so much fun with this post and yes, I can also see myself coloring in with Night Tiger, Hallowe'en Party and City of Girls!

  4. Wow, you've actually managed to link crayons with books — and in way that really makes sense! Amazing! I especially liked your connection between Olive Kitteridge and olive green, and Halloween Party / pumpkin orange. Great post. ?

    • Hi Lex! Yes, I've managed it and I loved the theme. It was fun. Hallowe'en Party will be a great color.

      Glad you enjoyed our post!
