Season Greetings! I guess everybody is busy wrapping presents and starting preparations for all those delicious Christmas meals. What’s on your Dear Santa list?
For today’s Top Ten Tuesday, Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl asks us (with Santa’s permission of course) to show us your bookish wish list. Poor Santa, books can get very heavy you know and I guess the old chap’s back isn’t all that strong after 1750 years of carrying Christmas presents. Maybe we should just make sure he knows that we are quite happy with Amazon Kindle or any other e-book gift vouchers as well.
I know my Mommy’s list are quite longer than her Christmas groceries list, but we’ll just showcase the Top Ten.
1. The boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy (If this one can be in a paperback of hardcover, we’ll be ever so grateful)
2. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig (Have I got a surprise for my Mommy. But shhhhh)
3. Ek wens, Ek wens deur Zirk van der Berg (It’s and Afrikaans book and if she can get this one in printed form as well, pretty please)
7. City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab (maybe just requested a gift basked from Victoria Schwab might be easier for all parties involved)
10. Jackie and Maria: A Novel of Jackie Kennedy and Maria Callas by Gill Paul
What books are on your wish list? Are you open for present swop? Just asking for a friend.
I hope you get all the books your heart desire this Christmas and that you have lots of time to read them all.
Lots of Love,
I'm looking forward to reading The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue this year. Also I have read City of Ghosts and really liked it. I hope Santa brought you some of theses books.
I hope you got some of these from Santa! I've only read Us Against You, but several others are on my tbr, too! <3
Addie LaRue is also on my list! I hope you get all these books and that you enjoy them all when you read them. Merry Christmas!!

Hi Maya! I actually got a few of them! So glad!!! I got The boy, the mole, the fox and the horse, Ek wens ek wens and The Midnight Library!
Lucky me!
The boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy (in hardback) — yes, yes, and yes. Though the Schwab looks awesome too. ๐ Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
I got The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse for Christmas and yes the hardcover! It's sooooooooooooooooooooooo gorgeous! Think I'm going to go on and on about it forever and a day.
We had a lovely Christmas, hope you did as well.
I love looking at these list because I feel like I'm introduced to all kinds of new books! Great list! ๐
Hi Christine! Thanks so much. In comparison to some of the great bloggers out there, I suspect we are rather boring. But if you can find something you enjoy on here, we are very happy!
I hope your Mommy gets them, especially The midnight library, but ushhhhh ๐
She loves it! So happy!!!
Adding The Night Portrait to my TBR! It sounds fantastic. The Book of Lost Names is on my TBR though it didn't make this list this time. It sounds so good.
The Boy, the Mole, etc. caught my eye in the bookstore quite a while ago but I'd forgotten about it.
I don't think I've read any books by V. E. Schwab. She seems like an author I would enjoy so I don't know why I haven't.
I hope Santa brings you some (or all) all of these. Merry Christmas!
These all look pretty good! This should keep your human busy reading for a while. ๐ Hope you all have a wonderful and awesome Christmas!!!
Hi Greg! We are back under stricter lock down regulations, so my Mommy is busy compiling a whole reading list for the next 2 weeks. Yea!!!
You have a good list. I'd also especially like to read the Addie LaRue novel and The Exiles sometime. I hope you get all the books on your list!
Hi there! Santa's been good to me, I got a few on my list! Hope you did too!
I still need to read Us Against You, too. I should have asked Santa for that one. I hope you get all of these!
I enjoyed BearTown so much, that's why I put this one on the list as well. Hope to get to it real soon.
I hope Santa brings all of these! City of Ghosts was a great read. I'm really intrigued by The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, too. ๐
Hi Ashley! It seems as if we all are! Santa did good this year and I got quite a few great books for Christmas.
Hope it was the same for you!
I have not read VE Schwab yet but I have seen Addie LaRue all over the place. That might be a book I purchase just to check it out. Here is my post-https://paigesofbook.blogspot.com/2020/12/top-ten-tuesday-books-andor-series-i.html.
V.E. Schwab/Victoria Schwab is worth checking out.
Thanks for stopping by!
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue made my list as well! Here is my Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Hi Poinsettia! I got a copy of Addie LaRue on Audible, but not for Christmas. We are back in Lockdown in SA and I just decided to get a bit of a reading list going here.
I did get some other great ones though!
I hope Santa brings all these for you! Pretty much my entire Christmas list is VE Schwab books.
Aj @ Read All The Things!
Oh Santa was ever so kind! Couldn't be more grateful.
Oh, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse! And Midnight Library! Invisible Life of Addie LaRue! Fabuloso! I hope you receive them all (or buy them for yourself in January).
I got The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse for Christmas and The Midnight Library! Jippie Yea!!! Still holding out for Addie LaRue. But will go and get it for myself as you suggest.
Now I also want to read The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and the Horse. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi there Lydia! It sure is worth it. It is one of those books you will read over and over again. Sometimes you will start in the middle or just go to a certain page.
So glad Santa brought it for me!
Oh, I'd also love to receive The Midnight Library or The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue ๐ Hope you'll find some of these under your tree ๐ Merry Christmas!
My Christmas book box just arrived and I have a very, very strong suspicion what is in there. Yea!!! Just two more sleeps and then I can open it. I also suspect that my husband is going to say I can choose a couple of e-books and then he'll pull out the credit cards. Addie LaRue will be one of them.
Merry Christmas to you too Lindsey!
