Top Ten Tuesday – It’s About Time

Posted June 7, 2022 by elzaread in Top Ten Tuesday / 47 Comments

Greetings you guys! It’s time for Top Ten Tuesday. Our favorite weekly blog hop and meme. This week’s prompt is Books With a Unit of Time In the Title (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, eternity, etc.) (Submitted by RS @ The Idealistic Daydream)

Ha. This was easy. Just from the top of our heads, we came up with 24 books. Enough to fill a 24hour digital clock.

  1. The Time Traveler’s Wife (0:00)
  2. 4:50 from Paddington (01:00)
  3. A Time to Kill (02:00)
  4. One Hundred Years of Solitude (03:00)
  5. A Suffragette in Time (04:00)
  6. The 100 years of Leni and Margot (05:00)
  7. Time Stoppers (06:00)
  8. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (07:00)
  9. The Seven Dials Mystery (08:00)
  10. A Wrinkle in Time (09:00)
  11. Last Time I Lied (10:00)
  12. Night-Time is my Time (11:00)
  13. Mr. Penumbra’s 24 Hour Book Shop (12:00)
  14. The Time Machine (13:00)
  15. The Evening and the Morning (14:00)
  16. Love in the Time of Cholera (15:00)
  17. The Remains of the Day (16:00)
  18. Leaving Time (17:00)
  19. Tuesdays with Morrie (18:00)
  20. The Absolute True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (19:00)
  21. End of Watch (20:00)
  22.  A Tale for the Time Being (21:00)
  23. The Time Keeper (22:00)
  24. Just One Day (23:00)

We’ve actually read most of them. Apparently Time is a favorite topic for my Mommy.

Our creativity wasn’t at it’s highest this week, but I do love the graphic that my Mommy made and our Analog Time Keeper has 12 titles with the word Time in it. That’s how far our creativity stretch this week.

What time related books did you come up this week? Have you read any of ours?

Have a lovely Tuesday!

    • This TTT gave new meaning to the phrase “So many books, so little time”. LOL!

So sorry I only reply now Cindy, I have been trying to catch up on comments, but it appears to be a never ending struggle worse than my TBR.

  1. How did I not think of 4:50 to Paddington!!! It’s one of my favorites and Mr. Penumbra was a great listen though completely bizarre. Great list!

  2. Jo

Wow you got so creative with this, I love it! I’ve read a few: I wasn’t a big fan of The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Nighttime but I did like The Time Traveler’s Wife and Leaving Time.

  3. Good job on coming up with so many. I was going to put The Time Traveler’s Wife and Nighttime is My Time, but I decided that “time” wasn’t a unit of time. Nighttime probably would’ve worked, though.

      • Lol. I know. I just interpreted it differently and made it hard on myself. Ha!

I used love Mary Higgins Clark. When I wasn’t much of a reader, I’d read one of her books every now and then. I stopped reading them after I read Two Little Girls in Blue because I really disliked it and decided her books were too formulaic for me. I still enjoy the other 16 books I read, though, especially her earlier ones.

        • Hi Jenni!

My sister has just about all the Mary Higgins Clark books, but I haven’t read them all and also find her earlier work much better than the later ones. I will still read one every now and then though.
