Ten Feline Book Titles that made me laugh out loud

Posted February 23, 2021 by elzaread in Top Ten Tuesday / 39 Comments

Greetings Humans! My Mommy didn’t do a single Top Ten Tuesday post in the last month. Guess it’s up to me to rectify that as soon as possible. Sometimes I really have no clue what she would do without me. Today’s prompt from our lovely host, Jana over at That Artsy Reader Girl, is Ten Books that made me laugh out loud. I see in my Mommy’s diary that she did start planning this, but it was written in pencil and incomplete. Perfect opportunity for me to get my claws on the eraser and make this post my own. Without any further ado, I proudly present to you:

Now I’m not as proficient with typing as my Mommy, so I’m going to keep this short and simple. In case you might think I made some of these titles up, I will add links to all the titles and you can see for yourself that my innovation only goes that far.

Seeing that I belong to the feline of the species myself, I can answer one or two questions on these for you:

  • Cats paint because we can. We don’t do it often though, as it messes with our normally perfect hair days.
  • Yes, God does speak through cats every now and again.
  • You won’t be able to tell if your cat plots to kill you. You might just wake up one morning in heaven with no clue how you got there.
  • We love crafting with you!
  • Yes, we can and we will pee on just about everything. Rock, Paper, Scissors are not excluded.
  • Not sorry that I barfed on your bed. If you gave me the attention I asked for in the first place, this wouldn’t have happened.
Any other laugh out loud feline titles I’ve missed? Have a wonderful Tuesday and remember to share the books that have made you laugh out loud with us.
Lots of Love,

  1. OMG I love this post with all my heart! It made me laugh like crazy. Some of these titles are…well some just don't sound real lol. So thanks for linking them because now I am curious about them.

    • Hi Ruby! Yes, some of these titles fall under that category where we say it simply has to be true – nobody can make this up!! I had so much fun writing this post and I am glad you enjoyed it so much!

    • Hi Aymee! Only three? I share my house with three other felines, so we are four and two labbies. You have to understand why I sound a bit crazy on the blog sometimes!

  2. Goodness, I didn't know there was a whole world out there about cat humor! Ah, wait — now I remember the Garfield comic strip. A fun bunch here, thank you!

    • Garfield is still very much loved in our house. It was rather easy to find these! So yes,I guess there truly is a whole world of cat humour out there.
      Thanks for stopping by!

    • Hi Lydia! I honestly had a whole post planned and then I changed my mind last night and decided on the cat titles. I see the prompt is funny book titles in a couple of weeks, but then people can borrow from my list, I won't mind! Cat's really do have the ability to be humorous, but please don't ever tell them that.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. I love those titles, they did make me laugh ! Especially the "sorry I barfed on your bed", which I told my eldest about since our eldest cat just barfed on her bed (and didn't look sorry). I could do with "crafting with cat hair", I have a lot of material. My favourite title is still the first, though !

    • The only barfer (not sure if that's a word) I have between the 4 cats, is the one with the long hair. That hairball control food only works that far. And no, he is never sorry.

The first one is very funny and no matter how prim or proper you try to be, you will snicker at that one!

  4. Yay Elza sneaking in and taking over the blog. 🙂 These all look fun. the one about cat plotting to kill their owners I've seen before. Can you imagine if we could talk to our cats? Well, I know Elza already talks, but all the rest?

    Happy tuesday!

    • Hi Greg! If Elza doesn't sneak in, nothing is going to happen at the moment!
I have to be honest, I'm really glad she doesn't really "talk", she is such a little madame, she'll drive me insane. The one I would like to chat with however, is Stinkie. He is such a chilled out, surfer type of cat.

      Thanks for stopping by!
