Hi Guys! Welcome to another TTT! This week’s topic was submitted by Lisa of Hopewell, and is Books with Geographical Terms in the Title. Oh we had endless ideas, this is quite a fun prompt! But spring finally seems to be making an appearance here with us and the mutt is big enough to start going to the beach. So let’s just entertain the little one and dedicate today’s TTT to the beach.
- On the Beach by Nevil Shute – perhaps not the best one to start with. But definitely one of our favorites.
- Beaches by Iris Rainer Dart – My Mommy really is giving her age away today. Another favorite.
- The Beach House by James Patterson – I remember this one, need to read this one again.
- Beach Read by Emily Henry – This one is on my TBR. Will try to read it this summer. The rest of the books on our list, we haven’t actually read.
- The Bookstore on the Beach by Brenda Novak
- Whiskey Beach by Nora Roberts
- Beach Music by Pat Conroy
- Beach Road by James Patterson
- The Beach Club by Elin Hilderbrand
- Beach Town by Mary Kay Andrews
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Remember to add your link and to hop over to your fellow bloggers for today’s Geography lesson.
Wow!! I have missed so many of these! Wonderful list!🤗📚💜
Thank you Susan! TTT is always the most fun.
I can’t wait until we can take our new puppy to the beach!
We got Anna in the mids of winter, so I didn’t WANT to take her to the beach. But the weather is becoming nicer here and we’ve been to the beach 3 times now.
I hope you will share some pics with us when your puppy sees the ocean for the first time!
Oh my goodness! Anna is adorable! She looks like a plush toy you’d buy. Love your choice of beach books. I’ve read Whiskey Beach and Beach Town and enjoyed them but I see several others I’d like to read.
Hi Katherine!
Yes! She does look like a plush toy indeed. But she doesn’t come with batteries and are a very busy little one. But I love her to pieces already.
Today it is dreadfully cold here again, so I don’t feel like the beach at all. But think Whiskey Beach might be a book I would like as well.
Hope you are having a good weekend!
First thing, I just need to say that I love your snowflakes! I have a kid who is OBSESSED with Frozen, so now anything snowy really grabs my attention! I also like the mix of titles you have this week. I haven’t read any of them, but I did just read my first Emily Henry book which is tangentially related if you squint. Lol!
Hi there!
Aah I’m so glad to hear you like our Frozen theme blog and that your girls also approve. I know have an Anna on here as well and one of these days, I will have to do a post of these two and how they relate to the Frozen two!
I hope you had a good weekend and that you will have a great week ahead.
Love those photos you included!
Thank you Lauren!
She is such a cutie pie yes.
As you said, you always ended up with mountains, I always ended up with ocean. The covers all look so inviting. And I absolutely love that you found ten books all with the word “beach”. I have read A Town Like Alice by Neville Shute but none of your other authors.
Thanks for visiting my TTT this week.
Hi there Marianne!
I basically grew up with Nevil Shute and read most of his books when I was much younger. I need to read a few again. A Town Like Alice is a wonderful book and I think it will always be worth mentioning. On the Beach is brilliant! I hope you will get a chance to read it somewhere.
Thanks for the visit and I wish you a wonderful week ahead!
I really should. I loved A Town Like Alice. Have put On the Beach on my wishlist. Thanks.
Anna looks lovely and so does the beach. I haven’t read any of these books, but On the Beach is on my TBR list as I really enjoyed Shute’s A Town Like Alice.
Hi Margaret!
On the Beach is really, really good. It actually scared me when I read it the first time in High School. I think I need to reread a lot of his books! A Town like Alice is such a wonderful book yes.
Love the list, happy reading!
Thank you Sarah!
What fun that you found so many with a beach in them!
Thank you Mallika!
Who knew there were so many books with beach themed titles? Your dog is so darn cute by the way!
Hi there Jo!
I was also quite amazed to see how many titles there actually are.
Thanks for the visit!
Great theme choice! And those beachy pics are the perfect bonus, really adorable cute. I’m so jealous!
Aaah thanks Louise! It’s still a bit nippy in the mornings, this morning both me and Anna came home freezing cold!
Thanks for the visit and sorry for the late reply. I hope you will have a wonderful weekend!
Love the beach pictures. Totally not making me jealous at all! I guess I’ll just have to settle for some of these beach reads for now.
Hi Christopher!
We had a cold winter, so some beach time is very much needed! We went walking again this morning and it it was dreadfully cold!
Great focus on the word beach. And the doggy is so cute.
Thanks Sarita! Terriers are made for South Africans, I am sure of that! LOL!!
Your dog is so adorable! I love seeing photos of him. Nice. work on the topic, especially as you did them all with one word!
Hi there Wendy! Oh she really is adorable yes! She’s a busy one, but she brings so much joy.
Glad you liked our picks and you can never go wrong with a good beach read!
I’ve had Beach Read on hold request at my library for a month and I’m still a couple hundred from getting it. Sigh. Apparently I’ll be reading it in the fall! LOL. I always love a good beach theme – some cool covers in the bunch.

Hi there Terrie!
I don’t have the luxury of a library, but will have to get a copy of Beach Read sometime soon.
Thanks for the visit and so sorry for the late reply!
Nice — and who doesn’t love a good beach read??? Cute pix too!
Beach Reads are always most welcome yes! But you have to read it in summer. It just doesn’t have the same magic in winter.
Thanks for stopping by!
That puppy is adorable! The word “Beach” sure is popular for book titles!
Oh she really is yes! I also didn’t realize there were quite so many titles with the word beach in!
I do love beach reads. That’s a great list. I have a few and have read a few of those. The beach pics are so cute.
Hi Yvonne!
Yes, I know you love a good beach read. You also have the nicest ones on your blog. We do have a lovely beach and my puppy is the cutest ever.
Hope your week’s been good so far!
First off, let me say the puppy is super adorable! And I love all of your beachy titles!

Hi Pam! Oh you should see her! She is the most adorable little thing ever. She brings so much joy and smiles. Not so much for Elza though….
Glad you liked our selection!
Thanks for the visit and I hope your week has been good so far.
We both shared The Bookstore on the Beach. 🙂 It’s been so long since I read Patterson’s The Beach House that I remember nothing about it.
Hi Tanya!
I saw that we both had The Bookshop on the Beach. Yea!! I also can’t remember The Beach House and think I need to read it again somewhere!
Thanks for the visit and sorry for the late reply!
Aww the mutt is cute! I don’t imagine he likes being called a mutt though… anyway I’ve heard good things about the Beach Read!
Hi Greg! The mutt is adorable. She started with puppy school on Tuesday and apparently she is a very clever little pup. Such a proud mommy here!
I will have to get a copy of Beach Read sometime soon.
Yay for spring and yay for the beach! 😀 I’m jealous that you got to go to the beach. Great book choices!
My TTT
Thanks Jenni!
I love going to the beach, not for swimming or tanning, but just for a nice walk and to appreciate the ocean.
Thanks for the visit!
OOh nice! Oh wow! I feel like one of the few who struggled with this one! Lol. I had to use search and find throughout my book inventory list because I could only think of a few off the top of my head! Like less than 5! Lol.
Thanks for visiting my TTT!
Hi there Jessica!
I usually start my TTT with a couple from the top of my head and then I also have to rely on the search button! This was a fun prompt.
Thanks for returning the favor!
I love that you went with all beach titles! Beach Read is a favorite of mine. 😀
Thanks Lark!
I definitely need to get a copy of Beach Read and make sure that I read it over the December holidays. I can’t believe we are talking about December holidays already….
A puppy! Love this. I hope you have a warm and lovely spring.
Hi Alicia! Oh my puppy is the sweetest thing ever! So much fun and joy to have her around.
As much as I love James Patterson, I haven’t read either of those books yet. My daughter really enjoyed Beach Read though.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I also enjoy James Patterson’s books and I’ve read The Beach House years ago, but not Beach Road.
I hope to get to Beach Read somewhere over our December holidays.
Thanks for the visit!
I love books set near water sources 🙂 Great list!
So do I Cindy! And even though we live at the sea, my favorite holiday destinations will always be the beach.
Hope you had a great week!
Love that you focused on the beach and your dog looks adorable! I’ve only read Beach Read from your list, but I really enjoyed that one.
Oh my puppy is adorable! I love her sooo much and she is loads of fun.
I haven’t read Beach Read, but hope to get to it over the December holidays.
Thanks for stopping by Lindsey!
I love what you did with theme
Thank you Anita!
Nevil Shute’s ON THE BEACH is one of those books which has stuck with me for so many years. Profound.
It was the first Nevil Shute book I have ever read! It really is a book that will stick with your forever.
Thanks for the visit!
Beach Read is still on my TBR, too.
Hi Lydia! I hope to get to Beach Read over our December holidays. On the beach.
Thanks for the visit!
Great list of titles with geographical terms in them. I love your twist on this week’s prompt. Beach Read almost made my list this week, but I featured this book so much this past TTTs that I decided not too.
Have a great week 😀
Hi there Rae!
I need to get a copy of Beach Read and will hopefully get to it over our December holidays. That’s our best beach holiday here in SA.
Thanks for the visit and enjoy the rest of your week.
Perfect choice for you! Let’s hope your weather warms quickly and you and the doggie can spend lots of time in this beautiful place.
Hi Debbie!
Our days are rather nice, but the evenings are still freezing. We will still see this autumny weather until about December and then it will be summer! Yea!! But we are ready to go for beach walks and Anna needs LOADS of stimulation.
Enjoy the rest of your week dearest Debbie!
I’m amazed you got so many beach books, lol. I haven’t read any of these.
Here is my list, sorry no beach there:

And I was curious, so went to my Goodreads shelves. I was shocked with the result, the only ‘beach’ that came up was a book on Sylvia Beach!!!
Hi Emma!
To be honest, I’m not the world’s greatest Beach reader. But I do love the beach and have luckily read a few of these. I love summer and sun!
Thanks for the visit Emma and I will hop over to you now.
