Greetings you guys! Welcome to another edition of Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Today we are going travelling! Boy, do I have a splendid tour planned for you.
My Mommy and just about all the ladies in the Book Club, are a huge fans of The Seven Sisters Series by Lucinda Riley. The series based on the mythical Seven Sisters of the Pleiades. Not that this is a mythological story, no these are very real sisters who all came together from across the globe. All 7 of these sisters have been adopted by Pa Salt and grew up in a beautiful pink palace in Geneva. When Pa Salt died, he left each of the sisters co-ordinates to where they come from, along with but one clue to help them all on their journey.
My Mommy is convinced that this will actually be one heck of an awesome tour to really go on. Perhaps it will be her lucky day and one of you know a travel agent who is going to start planning the itinerary… We will give you a basic idea of a tour schedule, just to help you along.
We will kick the tour off in Geneva. Pa Salt brought all his adopted daughters home to Geneva where they grew up in an idyllic setting.
From there we will go to Paris. Because we really want to go to Paris and because Paris is a detour during more than one of the sisters’ journeys.
From Paris we will travel with Maia, the eldest of the 7 sisters, to Rio de Janeiro to find out more about her heritage. This book is such a great read to start a series off with. Just be warned, you will immediately want to read the rest of the series.
From Rio, we will travel all the way to Norway to meet up with Ally and to walk a couple of miles with her. I think she needs it.
From Norway, we will travel to England. Specifically London and The Lake District to pay Star a visit. Yes! We will be visiting Beatrix Potter’s home as well. How wonderful! And just because it’s but a hop, skip and a jump – we’ll visit the Scottish Highlands as well. Tiggy would appreciate this.
During this part of our tour, we will be going off schedule – but stay on course. The next book in the series is actually The Pearl Sister, but Australia is way of course now. Let’s just quickly go to Spain to conclude Tiggy’s story.
Okay, now we can take the flight to Australia to the part of the country that fits Cece’s fiery personality.
Seeing that we’ve just acclimated to the heat, let’s head to Kenya, Africa to go on safari with Electra. Yes, of course we can all pretend that we are famous models and wear extra big sunglasses.
From Africa, we will travel to Ireland. Not only to end this fascinating tour, but also to pay homage to the magnificent author who brought this most wonderful series to us. We miss your dearly, Lucinda. But we are eagerly awaiting the release of Atlas, the story of Pa Salt in 2023.
You know what would be a really great tour? The Seven Sisters World Tour. Just imagine visiting all the places #thesevensisters by #lucindariley traveled to. Who's coming with us? Click To TweetHave your read The Seven Sisters Series? Would you like to go on tour with us?
What a great idea! I love this series and find myself missing it now that I’ve read them all. I can only hope that Pa Salt’s story will be published when they promise!
This sounds absolutely wonderful. I’m definitely going to have to look into this series. I’ve never read it. 😀
I don’t think I’ve heard of this series, but the concept does sound fun. 🙂 Good to be introduced to new series – plus, look at all the places we can visit inside one series! Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland on this week; apologies it took so long to visit here.
[…] We went on a world tour (oh how we wish) with The Seven Sisters – Top Ten Tuesday The Seven Sisters World Tour […]
I’d like to visit Norway one day… 🙂
What a fun take on the topic! And now I’ve got to read the books.
Stop by and see my top ten!
This is such a creative idea for this week’s post! I hadn’t heard of this series, but it fit the prompt perfectly and offered up such an interesting and exciting selection of places to visit. Wonderful post!
I want to visit all those places too! I didn’t think of Rio de Janeiro! Nice choices.
I haven’t read this series yet, but your post made me want to pick them up! It’s lovely that each book has such a different setting – I’m intrigued now 🙂
Wow, this is such a great post idea! I’ve never heard of this series, but it sounds really intriguing.
Wow!! This is amazing. I wan to see so many of these places. I think I might have to add these to my TBR! 🙂 Great post.
Hi there Leslie!
It’s a series that won’t disappoint. You can definitely add it to your TBR. I really want to visit ALL of these places. Someone should really design a tour like this. It will be awesome. Just rather expensive I’d imagine.
I love this! While I’ve never read these books, I would LOVE to go on the world tour with you.

I would love to have you with me Pam!
Don’t worry, I think a few of our flights might be a bit long, so you can start reading the books on the plane.
Thanks for stopping by!
I’ve never read the Seven Sisters series, but this looks like a heck of a world tour!
Hi there Jo!
It’s such a great series. Do give it a try when you get the opportunity.
Thanks for visiting us!
I love that you made your whole trip out of a single series! And it sounds like a fabulous world tour!
Hi there Louise!
It is a great series and the best part of all, there are even more places in these books than the ones I’ve mentioned here.
Thanks for the visit!
Great post! The covers are beautiful. We lived in Kenya for almost two years…we saw lots of giraffes, LOL!
Hi Cindy!
Wow!! Did you enjoy your stay in Kenya??
There are lots of giraffes all over Africa, I’ve seen my fair amount as well. LOL!!
It was a time of unrest when we lived there and we lived on a guarded compound and were not allowed to be out after dark…I had a love/hate relationship with the country. We got to see some cool things and my kids had a great school…I also made some good friends there that I am still friends with.
Oh that’s Africa for you… We are very fortunate here where we stay, but large parts of the country are really dangerous. You lock yourself behind high walls and electric fencing and the murder/crime statistics are still through the roof. A very sad reality to probably some of the most beautiful parts in the world….
Kenya still follows the British school systems, the best. I teach at a private school here in SA, the government schools are deteriorating at a rapid speed. Especially after Covid.
Oh yeah, great travel photos too. Beautifully representative of each place.
Thank you Terrie!
I had fun compiling this post.
Thanks for the visit!
What a fun idea to travel to all those countries via a book series. My TTT list of places I don’t want to visit
Hi Anne!
Glad you enjoyed it!
How cool would it be to have travel itineraries based on favorite books? We need, like, a book blogger o book lovers travel agency lol. Wait, I see an opportunity here…
Anyway- yes to Geneva. I’d love to see beatrix Potter’s home, actually, so yes to there as well. Scotland, Ireland… sigh. This whole list works for me.
Hi Greg!
I see a brilliant opportunity here! I honestly think that a Seven Sisters Tour is an EXCELLENT idea and I wish someone will work out an itinerary. Everything about just about all these places are just perfect!
So sorry for the late reply and I hope you will have a good weekend.
Scotland and Ireland sound beautiful!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
They do indeed and I would love to visit there one day.
Thanks for stopping by and sorry for the late reply.
Holy moly what an absolutely fabulous way to “tour”. That’s so darned clever and those are some flighty sisters to get all this traveling done! I haven’t read the series, but I’m seriously considering it now. I’m almost done with the Louise Penny Gamache series so will be ready for something new. GREAT list and locales. Thanks for the visit. Terrie @ Bookshelf Journeys
Hi there Terrie!
So glad you enjoyed our post. I think you will definitely enjoy this series. It’s delightful!
I have the first one in the Louise Penny series on my TBR, but didn’t get to it yet.
Have a good weekend and so sorry for the late reply.
This tour sounds delightful; I’ve read a few books by this author but not in recent years – maybe the time is now.
Hi Diane!
Except for one other book, I’ve only read this series by her. I do like her writing style and will definitely read more. Still very sad that she passed away…
I love the idea of this book and the travels of The Seven Sisters. No North America stops though! Thanks for sharing about it.
Hi there Jodie!
There are a few stops in New York as well, so you will be okay. (Winky face)
Take me with you, please! This sounds like just the sort of world tour I’d love to take.
And, happily, these books are at my library…delightful…all are checked out, of course, but I can wait…
Hi Debbie!
I’ll meet in Paris…. ! Gosh would love to do a tour like this with you.
I think you will like this series, easy reads, but highly enjoyable!
My week was crazy, sorry I only reply now….
I almost put this on my series on my list too. I’ve been wanting to read it for my Travel the World in Books reading challenge! You’ve got me excited to read it!
Hi Tanya!
I’m sure you will love it!! I haven’t spoken to anyone who didn’t enjoy it and will be a great choice for a world tour in books.
Thanks for visiting us and sorry for the late reply.
Australia sounds like such a cool place to visit!
I believe there’s a lot of similarities to South Africa, so I’d take a few of the other destinations first!
A Seven Sisters world tour would be fun, and this series lends itself to this kind of fun post! I used them for Six Degrees of Separation post a couple of years ago, which I had forgotten until I read your post!!
Hi Marg!
This series can definitely work for a Six Degrees, talking about Six Degrees – guess it’s time for the August one!
Glad to see you’ve also read and enjoyed these books. I loved them and are looking forward to Atlas.
Love it!
Thanks Nicki!
